It is indeed a great pleasure to write to you. I am a Bangladeshi applicant for Canadian Immigration.

I understand that IELTS is required for Canadian Immigration and accordingly I sent my IELTS score (ie overall band score 6.5), however, it was 2 years old.

As you advised me to explain my English competency, let me give you an overview of my career track. I did my graduation in Marketing from Dhaka University, where my medium of instruction was English. Soon after my graduation, I started my career as a banker and joined in BBC1 (an International Bank) and served for a couple of years. Later I joined in Banque Indosuez and following Indosuez, I served in Standard Chartered (a leading British Bank working in Bangladesh) for 10 years.

Presently, I have been working in AB Bank Ltd (the first leading private commercial bank in Bangladesh) as the Deputy Managing Director. My positions in multinational and private banks demand wider communication in English including writing, reading and often for banking purposes specially attending various training seminars, symposia and so on. In my 19 years of Banking I need to prepare countless credit proposals, issue memos on innumerable issues, deliver speech to different segments of clients and staff members, not least my lecturing during training session.

If you see my career progression, you will clearly visualize my strength in English, I hope I sincerely request you to waive me of re-sitting for IELTS.
